Warm-up
- March in place for 2 minutes, lifting your knees high.
- Arm circles forward and backward for 1 minute each.
- Side bends, reaching your arms up overhead for 1 minute.
Salsa Steps
- Step to the side with your left foot, then bring your right foot next to it. Repeat on the other side.
- Add a hip motion by swaying your hips from side to side.
- Now, add arm movements by swinging your arms up and down.
Merengue Steps
- Step forward with your left foot, then close your right foot next to it.
- Step back with your right foot, then close your left foot next to it.
- Add a side-to-side hip motion.
Cumbia Steps
- Step forward with your left foot, then pause.
- Step back with your right foot, then tap your left foot behind your right.
- Step forward with your left foot, then pause.
- Step back with your right foot, then tap your left foot in front of your right.
- Repeat on the other side.
Cool-down
- Walking in place for 2 minutes.
- Quad stretches, holding each stretch for 30 seconds.
- Hamstring stretches, holding each stretch for 30 seconds.
